Vol. 01 · The Editors
Folio I · The Editorial Desk

From a small editorial desk in Wilmington, Delaware.

From the editors. Claros wasn't pitched in a marketing meeting. The editors started it as a quarterly publication on adult cognitive support — written for readers who had noticed the same drift everyone notices eventually, and weren't satisfied with what was on the shelf. The formula came second; the journal came first.

§ I — Editorial Origin

The shelf the editors couldn't read straight.

The nootropic supplement aisle is unusually crowded with dramatic claims, exotic ingredients, and proprietary blends. The mushroom-coffee category in particular has become a marketing arms race — bigger CFU counts, bolder claims, before-and-after testimonials about transformation. The editors found themselves unable to evaluate any of it.

So the editors did the unglamorous thing. Read the research on Lion's Mane fruiting body vs mycelium-on-grain. Checked the bacosides standardisation literature. Looked at what doses produce real effects in well-controlled trials. And formulated five actives at the doses used in the published research — not the doses that would let the front of the bottle list a fashionable ingredient.

The result is a small, clear publication — and a formula built to the same standard. Both made for readers who would rather understand than be sold to.

§ II — Editorial Standards

Three editorial rules we won't break.

No compromise on these three. They have cost the editors margin and shortcuts. They are what the publication stands on.

01

Trial-equivalent doses, or nothing.

Every active is at the dose used in the published research the editors cite. If a clinical dose can't be delivered, the compound isn't in the formula.

02

Fruiting body, not mycelium-on-grain.

The editors use only organic fruiting-body extracts. Mycelium-on-grain is cheaper to produce and substantially lower in active-compound content.

03

No proprietary blends.

Every milligram is on the label. No hidden quantities. No marketing-friendly obscurity over what's actually in the bottle.

§ III — Where It Is Printed

A GMP-certified U.S. facility, in deliberately small print-runs.

Each issue of Claros is manufactured in a GMP-certified facility in the United States, in deliberately small batches. Every lot is third-party tested for active-compound content (specifically beta-glucan and bacoside content), heavy metals, and microbial purity before release.

The mushroom fruiting-body extracts are sourced from established organic cultivators with multi-year manufacturing track records. Standardisation and purity are verified at the ingredient level and again at the finished-issue level.

§ IV — The Compounds

Every compound. Every dose. No proprietary blends. The editors leave nothing off the label.
